Chilkalguda robbery: Police arrest interstate offender Bruce Lee and three others

Hyderabad police arrested interstate property offender Darla Nehemiah alias Bruce Lee, two associates and a juvenile in connection with a Chilkalguda robbery case. Police recovered the stolen mobile phone, a scooter and Rs 2.25 lakh in cash, while officials said the accused is wanted in other burglary cases

Hyderabad: The city police on Tuesday arrested notorious interstate property offender Darla Nehemiah alias Bruce Lee and two of his associates in connection with a robbery case reported in Chilkalguda. A juvenile was also apprehended.

Bruce Lee, the alleged mastermind, has been involved in 65 criminal cases across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, including robbery, burglary, theft, murder and attempt to murder. Despite being detained earlier under the PD Act, he allegedly resumed criminal activities immediately after his release from prison in June.

According to the police, Bruce Lee recruited fellow offenders after his release and formed a gang that assaulted a labourer in Secunderabad, robbed him and abandoned him at another location.

The police recovered the stolen mobile phone, the scooter used in the crime and Rs 2.25 lakh in cash linked to another theft case.

Officials said Bruce Lee is also wanted in separate burglary and theft cases registered at Alwal and Meerpet police stations.
