Hyderabad: The chief priest of Chilkur Balaji temple, CS Rangarajan, noted voluntary organisation from Hyderabad, Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) and a few good Samaritans collaborated to raise funds for a young man Nand Kishore, who was struggling to pay for his mother’s medical bills.
Nand Kishore’s mother had suffered a massive corrosive injury that led to removal of her stomach. She had gone out and after coming home, she suffered dizziness and accidentally consumed acid, thinking that it was a glass of water. Nanda Kishore has been trying to raise Rs 4.17 lakh to pay for the treatment of his mother. He had managed to raise Rs 1.63 lakh through crowd funding from Impact Guru while HHF donated about Rs 1 lakh.
Recently, Kishore met Chilkur Balaji chief priest, C S Rangarajan, who urged Mujtaba Askari, founder of HHF to help raise funds. Within a day, the HHF and C S Rangarajan collaborated to raise the remaining Rs 1.5 lakh.
On Tuesday, the cheque worth Rs 1.5 lakh was formally handed over to Nand Kishore by C S Rangarajan in the presence of Mujtaba Askari. “By Gods grace in just 24-hours we could mobilize the requested amount and on Tuesday we went to Chilkur Balaji temple to hand over the cheque to Nand Kishore,” HHF founder said.
