Chilly weather grips Hyderabad as cyclone Ditwah threatens weekend rain

Hyderabad is experiencing a renewed cold spell, with minimum temperatures falling to 14–17°C. The chill is expected for the next two days. IMD forecasts moderate showers this weekend under the influence of cyclone Ditwah, which may impact southern Telangana.

Hyderabad: After a brief respite, chilly weather conditions have started to intensify across Hyderabad and parts of Telangana. As November draws to a close, people can expect nippy weather conditions in the early hours and evenings for the next two more days.

People have once again started wearing winter-wear, as temperatures are now ranging from 14 degree Celsius and 17 degree Celsius in Hyderabad. For the past day or two, there has been a noticeable chill in the early mornings and evenings,


While maximum temperatures during the day remain mild, hovering near 27 degree Celsius, the overall colder spell is expected to persist for the next 4-hours.

According to the weekend forecast by IMD-Hyderabad and independent forecasts, parts of Hyderabad and districts can receive moderate showers, under the influence of cyclonic storm Ditwah, which is expected to approach south-coastal AP and Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Saturday.

According to independent weather forecast from Hyderabad, T Balaji, who tracks weather in real-time and posts updates on X (telanganaweatherman), a two-day strong cold weather conditions between November 28 and November 30 will be active all across Hyderabad and districts of Telangana.

“Thereafter cyclone Ditwak may cause moderate showers in South and Eastern parts of Telangana,” Balaji posted.
