Hyderabad: After a few warm nights, the temperature is likely to plummet below the normal range over the weekend, especially on Sunday. According to the experts, the minimum temperature in the city might range from 11 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius for the next few days.
An average night temperature of 19 degree Celsius was recorded in the early hours of Friday with Serilingampally logging in the lowest minimum temperature of 16.1 degree Celsius.
As per the forecast by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the minimum temperature in several localities situated on the outskirts of the city, such as Rajendranagar, Kapra, Hayathnagar, Saroornagar and Santhoshnagar might dip below 13 degree Celsius on Sunday. The conditions are likely to remain the same on Monday as well. Looking at the situation, India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad has issued a two day yellow alert for the city and neighbouring district.
Meanwhile, the night temperature in many districts of Telangana, including Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar and Peddapalli, is likely to dip to single digits on Saturday and Sunday. A few parts of Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mahabubabad might also receive rainfall upto 2.5 mm.
