Chennai: Megastar Chiranjeevi, who recently met Kirti Chakra awardee Major Malla Ramgopal Naidu, penned a heartfelt post on X expressing gratitude for the brave officer’s affection.
Posting pictures from their meeting, Chiranjeevi wrote on Tuesday: “So delighted to meet Major Malla Ramgopal Naidu, who won the Kirti Chakra for his extraordinary gallantry (Aug ’23). His act of valour at such a young age is a beacon of inspiration for generations to come.”
The Telugu superstar added: “What humbles me the most is knowing that this brave soldier, who stood tall for the country, also holds me close to his heart as a fan. My heartfelt gratitude for his affection and warm memories. May God bless him & his family abundantly.”
On the work front, Chiranjeevi is currently shooting for director Anil Ravipudi’s much-awaited commercial entertainer Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Just last week, the team filmed a song featuring Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara. Sources said the track, choreographed by Vijay Polanki, has a catchy tune composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, known for chartbusters.
The makers had earlier released a title teaser for Chiranjeevi’s birthday, showing him as a commanding figure, escorted by armed commandoes, with background music repeatedly echoing the word “Boss.”
Produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela under Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, the film has generated huge expectations. After Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Godfather, this marks the third collaboration of Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara.
Anil Ravipudi, fresh off the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, directs the film. Bheems Ceciroleo handles the music, Sameer Reddy is the cinematographer, Tammiraju is the editor, A.S. Prakash the art director, and S. Krishna serves as executive producer and co-writer alongside G. Adi Narayana.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is scheduled to release during Sankranti 2026.
