Hyderabad: Actor and Movie Artiste Association (MAA) president Manchu Vishnu has said that the Telugu film industry should maintain its stand over the controversial ticket-price issue that is plaguing the Telugu film industry.
He was speaking to the media after unveiling the motion poster of the upcoming film titled ‘Manyam Raju’ in Tirupati on Monday.
“The ticket price hike in Telangana and low-ticket fares in AP — are major issues to debate upon. In such circumstances, the entire industry should voice out a single opinion coming on one platform. There are bodies like Film Chamber of Commerce and Producers Council to discuss these issues with the State governments. One has to proceed further taking suggestions from the bodies in the industries” he said, adding that the recent meeting of Megastar Chiranjeevi and CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy should be considered as personal one.
Hailing local artistes for getting recognition in the mainstream cinema, Vishnu further said that he feels proud that 20 percent of talent in the film industry hail from Chittoor district.
To teach aspiring talent on various topics of film business, Mohanbabu University is being set up in Tirupati and details of the varsity will soon be announced by his father Mohan Babu.
