Hyderabad: Director of the ICBM–School of Business Excellence, Hyderabad Dr Zarar on Wednesday urged students to choose a meaningful career by setting goals.
Addressing students at the Indian Institute of Management and Commerce, Hyderabad, during a seminar on the topic ‘Road map for career development and planning’ organised by Telangana Today and Namasthe Telangana, Dr Zarar said developing a career path has a number of important benefits.
“For starters, many of us require constant development to drive positive emotion. So, setting yourself a reasonable goal or two can actually make you happier. Through goal-setting, you will experience yourself moving towards a successful career,” he said.
He advised students to learn new skills through higher education or job training. On talent and passion, he said they were key factors in career planning and explained the benefits. The lecture was followed by an interactive session.
Around 150 students attended. IIMC principal K Raghuveer thanked Telangana Publications for organising such a useful session for students. Vice-principal S Saritha felicitated Dr Zarar. Teachers and other staff members of the college also attended the seminar.
