Sangareddy: The chopped up remains of Angoth Dasarath, 26, who was allegedly murdered by Gopal, the father of a teenage girl whom Dasarath allegedly lured in the name of love, were recovered from Idula thanda in Nizampet on Sunday.
According to police, Dasarath, a resident of Nagadhar Ramchandhar thanda, was married to a woman and the couple had two children. His wife was pregnant now. However, he allegedly befriended the Class IX girl, who was studying in a residential school in Mogudampally, from the neighbouring Meghya Thanda.
Dasararth, who used to work as a lorry driver in Sangareddy, also used to visit the girl at her hostel quite frequently. After coming to know about this from the hostel staff, the girl’s father Gopal was shocked and later hatched a plan to eliminate Dasarath.
Police said Gopal made his daughter call Dasarath on February 12 and invited him to their home. When Dasarath arrived at the place, Gopal picked an argument with him and killed him by hitting him with a rock. Later, he took the body to the nearby forest and cut it into pieces before setting it on fire.
Meanwhile, Dasarath’s wife filed a missing case in the Sangareddy rural police station. When the police launched an inquiry, Gopal surrendered before the police on Saturday. However, he initially misled the police on where he dumped the body. However, the police recovered the chopped and charred remains of the body from Idul Thanda on Sunday.
