Chowrangee presents memorable Monsoon Magic concert in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chowrangee, the flagship cultural initiative of the Bengal & Beyond Foundation, delivered an unforgettable evening of music with ‘Monsoon Magic: Rising Stars from Kolkata to Kochi’ at the iconic Taramati Baradari in Hyderabad, captivating a discerning audience with a performance that was as immersive as it was soul-stirring.

Curated in collaboration with the Green Room Tapes Collective, the concert brought together a remarkable group of India’s exciting young musicians. Tracing a rich musical journey from Kolkata to Kochi, the repertoire spanned Hindustani classical, ghazal, folk and contemporary genres with fluid elegance.

The ensemble featured acclaimed vocalist Srinath Nair, whose nuanced and commanding performance anchored the evening. He was joined by Rajdeep Mukherjee (vocals), Kaanjana Sriram (vocals), Sameel Sikkani (tabla), Anurag Rajeev Nayan (guitar), Sumit Jaiswal (bass guitar), Anantharaman Anil (keyboards) and Sanjai Arakkal (sound engineer). Together, they crafted a rich and layered musical narrative marked by technical finesse, creative synergy and emotional depth.

The concert drew an engaged audience of connoisseurs, artists and cultural patrons, many of whom responded with standing ovations and sustained applause.
