Erstwhile Khammam Catholic Bishop Dr Sagili Prakash took part in the rally. Addressing the participants, he expressed hope that peace would spread across the entire world. The ongoing conflicts in West Asia were disrupting global peace and access to essential commodities for people worldwide.
The Bishop earnestly wished for the atmosphere of war to dissipate immediately. He urged everyone to cultivate the virtues of peace, harmony, compassion and benevolence, qualities taught by Jesus Christ, and emphasised the importance of showing affection and a spirit of forgiveness towards others.
