Christmas celebrations held at Kothagudem police headquarters

Semi-Christmas celebrations were organised at the district police headquarters in Kothagudem on Monday. Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju participated in the programme and called upon people of all religions to maintain harmony and celebrate festivals peacefully

Kothagudem: Semi-Christmas celebrations were held grandly on Monday at the district police headquarters in Hemachandrapuram.

Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju participated in the celebrations along with Additional SP (Operations) Avinash Kumar. Prayers were conducted under the guidance of AR DSP Satyanarayana in the presence of AR officers and staff.


Speaking on the occasion, the SP extended his greetings to all Christians. Christmas is a religious and cultural festival celebrated worldwide by hundreds of millions of people to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, he said.

Rohith Raju stated that Christians celebrate Christmas with great pomp and splendour every year and expressed his happiness at participating in the semi-Christmas celebrations. He advised people of all religions to maintain religious harmony and celebrate festivals in a peaceful atmosphere.

Later, the SP along with officials cut the cake arranged for the semi-Christmas celebrations. SB Inspector Srinivas, RIs Sudhakar, Narasimha Rao, Krishna Rao and other police officers and staff participated in the programme.
