Circular fashion: Anushka Sharma puts up maternity clothes for auction 

The actor shared some of her maternity clothes on Instagram Stories, and received support from fans and actor Dia Mirza.

Anushka Sharma is probably starting a new trend in the Indian film industry — the actor has decided to auction clothes she wore while being pregnant with daughter Vamika. The proceeds from the online sale will support maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health through a foundation named Sneha in Mumbai.

Taking to her Instagram handle, she wrote, “I’m thrilled to launch my new initiative, through which I’ve shared some of my favourite maternity wear for an online charity sale, with proceeds supporting maternal health through @snehamumbai_official.”

“Fun fact: if even just 1% of pregnant women in urban India brought 1 piece of maternity clothing preloved over newly manufactured, each year we can conservatively save about as much water as a person drinks in over 200 years!!
