CISCE National Taekwondo Championship Concludes in Hyderabad
The 7th CISCE National Taekwondo Tournament for Boys 2026 concluded at the International School, Shaikpet, Hyderabad, after four days of competition involving around 350 athletes from 13 regions.

Hyderabad: The 7th CISCE National Taekwondo Tournament for Boys 2026 concluded at the International School, Shaikpet, on Wednesday, bringing together around 350 young athletes from 13 regions for four days of competition.
Organised under the CISCE National Games and Sports 2026, A.P. & Telangana Region, the championship featured Kyorugi events across various weight categories in the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 divisions.
Dr. Godwin Daniel Athishtam, Deputy Secretary, CISCE Centre of Excellence–Hyderabad, Kakarla Sushrut, Board of Directors of the International School, Shaikpet, and others attended the closing ceremony.
Gold, silver and bronze medals, along with certificates, were presented to the top performers. The overall championship trophies were won by Maharashtra in the Under-14 category, Karnataka and Goa in the Under-17 category, and Uttar Pradesh in the Under-19 category.
Dr. Athishtam appreciated the host school for providing adequate facilities and commended the athletes, coaches and parents for their enthusiasm and support.
Top podium finishers will have an opportunity to be considered for selection to represent CISCE at the upcoming SGFI National School Games, subject to the prescribed selection process.
