Mahabubabad: In an act of prolicide, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable allegedly threw his two minor children into an open well making them drown at Gaddigudem thanda in Mahabubabad mandal in the district on Tuesday before committing suicide by jumping before a train at Anantharam village near here on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Hamijakshi (8) and Jani (4) and Bhukya Ramkumar. The accused, who was serving in Mumbai, came to his native village four days ago on leave.
According to sources, there have been clashes between Ramkumar and his wife Sirisha for the past couple of days. The couple had a fight and, in a fit of rage, the constable threw the children into the open well and fled from the scene. The local police booked a case in connection with the incident and launched a probe into it. Meanwhile, the Government Railway Police have found a body on the railway tracks near Anantharam in the evening. Later, the deceased was identified as Ramkumar.
Based on the preliminary investigation, police said the accused had borrowed money and when his wife questioned him over it and also about her gold reportedly mortgaged to get the loan. Following the argument, the enraged CISF constable committed the inhuman act of killing his two children, and finally ending his life too. With this heart-rending incident, a pall of gloom descends on the village.
