Hyderabad: The Keesara Police have registered a case against a private school principal for allegedly misbehaving with a student under the pretext of conducting special classes.
According to the police, a 13-year-old girl studying in grade eight at a private school in Nagaram was allegedly called by the school principal, Saibaba (65), for special classes, claiming she was lagging behind in studies. During these sessions, he allegedly behaved inappropriately with her.
                            
                                            
                
                
    
Unable to bear the harassment, the student confided in her parents, who lodged a complaint with the police.
A case has been booked under the POCSO Act and is being investigated.

50-year-old man dies by suicide over financial woes
Hyderabad: A 50-year-old man died by suicide at his house in Chandanagar on Sunday night, reportedly due to financial problems.
According to the police, Kasi Reddy Purushotham Reddy, a resident of Huda colony in Chandanagar, stayed with his family members and worked as a driver.
On Sunday night, Purushotham hanged himself from the ceiling fan in a room in his house and ended his life, said Chandanagar police.
The family members told the police that Purushotham had given Rs. 13 lakh to one Jai Kumar Santhamma Rajan Babu seven years ago, and the latter did not return the amount. Due to this, they claimed that Purushotham slipped into depression and ended his life.
The police registered a case and are investigating.

Man dies after falling from high-tension cable tower
Hyderabad: A man died after falling from a high-tension cable tower at Abdullapurmet in the city outskirts on Monday.
The man, who is yet to be identified, climbed onto the tower around 8 am in the morning and started shouting. On noticing, the local people informed the police, who then alerted the power department and the fire department. Soon, personnel of the fire and power department reached the spot along with the police and started efforts to bring him down.
After around three hours, the fire department and power department personnel went up the tower and tried to bring the man down. However, he had fallen from the tower onto the ground and suffered injuries. The police shifted him to Osmania General Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment. The police are making efforts to identify the man.
