Class VII boy attempts to hang himself in residential school in Telangana’s Siddipet
He went into the bathroom and attempted to hang himself. However, other hostel inmates noticed in time and managed to save him.
Siddipet: A 12-year-old student allegedly attempted suicide at the BC Residential School at Habsipur in Dubbak mandal on Saturday.
The boy, who was in a BC Welfare residential school in Narayanraopet last year, was admitted in Class VII at the Habsipur school this year by his parents. He used to complain to his parents that he did not like staying in the hostel due to lack of facilities there.
He had gone to the morning exercise session to the ground along with other inmates under the guidance of the physical director.
However, he returned to the hostel complaining of stomach pain. When other inmates returned a few minutes later, they found him hanging from the bathroom door. They immediately brought him down and shifted him to a local hospital. Later, he was rushed to Niloufer Hospital. His condition was stated to be critical.
Since his parents migrated to Hyderabad, they had admitted him in the hostel.
