Class IX girl jumps to death from 17th floor in Hyderabad’s KPHB

A 15-year-old girl died by suicide after jumping from the 17th floor of her apartment in Hyderabad's KPHB. She was reportedly upset following a school parent-teacher meeting. Police have registered a case and are investigating

Hyderabad: A 15-year-old girl died by suicide after jumping from the 17th floor of a residential apartment complex in KPHB Colony on Friday.

The Class IX student, who lived with her parents at Manjeera Trinity Homes, was reportedly upset after a parent-teacher meeting at school where concerns were raised about her academic performance.


According to police, she is believed to have jumped from a bathroom window in her home. She sustained severe injuries in the fall and died on the spot.

The KPHB police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
