Class X student of Gurukul School in Hanamkonda ends life after calling parents to take her home

Hanamkonda: A tenth class student studying at PV Ranga Rao Gurukul School in Bhimadevarapalli mandal in the district allegedly died by suicide on Friday.

According to the students, the deceased, Vanam Sri Varshini (15) of Rampur village in Huzurabad mandal of Karimnagar district returned to school on Thursday after Deepavali holidays.

It was said that in the morning she called her parents from her teacher’s cell phone asking them to take her home away from the gurukul saying that she does not want to stay there. Her parents told her they would come to the school to take her away.

During the morning prayer time all the students came out but Sri Varshini was missing. When her friends went to the dormitory hall, they found her hanging from a rope. The teachers immediately informed her parents and the police. Elkathurthi CI, Puli Ramesh, SIs Divya and Praveen Kumar reached the school and took up the investigation.
