Amaravati: YSR Congress Party made a clean sweep in Pulivendula municipality with its candidates winning by unanimous verdict in all the 33 wards.

As expected in YSR Kadapa district, a majority of the YSRCP candidates secured similar verdict–31 out of 34 wards in Rayachoti municipality, 12 out of 20 in Yerraguntla, 10 out of 35 in Badwel, and nine out of 41 in Proddatur. In Kadapa corporation, 23 of the 50 divisions saw YSRCP candidates winning unanimously.


After the last date for withdrawal of nominations came to a close on Wednesday, it was found that over 2900 candidates out of 17,418 who filed papers in 75 municipalities and 12 corporations had withdrawn from contest.

The polling for the civic bodies will be held on March 10 and the results will be declared on March 14.
