Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A complaint has been lodged against a camp clerk in the Collectorate for his alleged involvement in the disappearance of a married woman from Rebbena mandal centre.
Police said Thallapelli Ramesh of Asifabad town filed a complaint alleging that his wife had been missing for the past few days and held the clerk responsible. Sub-Inspector Chandrashekhar said the woman was missing, but no case was yet registered against the clerk.
In his complaint, Ramesh alleged that the clerk abducted his wife, an employee at a Sakhi one-stop centre in Asifabad, by luring her. He said they had been married for 24 years and had two children. Ramesh claimed the clerk trapped her under the guise of love about a year ago and urged the police to deliver justice.
Meanwhile, officials faced criticism for allegedly shielding the clerk.
