Hyderabad: Monsoon has brought pleasant weather to the city. With no sun, for most of the afternoons, Hyderabad has been witnessing cloudy sky with drizzles at isolated places. Also, the temperatures in the city dropped and the maximum temperature recorded on Friday was 33 degrees Celsius.
On the weather conditions to be expected in the coming days, Dr K Nagaratna, Director of Indian Meteorological Department-Hyderabad says, “We are not expecting very heavy rains in the city. However, for the next few days, the sky will be cloudy. The sun will mostly not be visible for most of the afternoons.” There will be drizzles across the city. “Mainly low-level south-westerlies/ westerlies is prevailing over the State,” Dr Nagaratna says.
In the city, Kapra received the maximum rainfall of 0.3 mm on Friday. Several other districts of the State, however, have been receiving heavy rainfalls. The IMD also issued a thunderstorm warning for districts including Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy. These districts are likely to experience thunderstorms, with heavy rains, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph, for the next two days.
