Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao always directed officials and Ministers to increase the State Revenue and to initiate different welfare programmes for the poor and needy. The State Government is extending all support to the people during the COVID-19 pandemic and has offered immediate relief to families which were affected due to the recent rains, he said.

“The Chief Minister always strives to make Telangana the top State in all fields in the country. As a progressive government, all we expect from you is continued support and blessings,” said Rao after launching a sports complex at Sanathnagar.

The Minister inaugurated different development works, including sports complex, library and laid foundation for theme park at Nehru Park at a total cost of over Rs.19 crore.

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who represents Sanathnagar constituency, said he had worked as a Minister for five terms and worked with different governments but none could match the vision and speed of the TRS Government.

In the past for sanctioning Rs. 5 lakh for digging two borewells in the constituency, several meetings used to be conducted. In the TRS Government’s reign, nearly Rs.800 crore development works were sanctioned for Sanathnagar constituency, he informed amidst whistles and cheers from the crowd.

In the past, the Congress Government had sold the land meant for a sports complex to the Provident Fund office at Sanathnagar. GHMC had allocated another land for the office and today a multipurpose sports complex became a reality due to the support extended by MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao.

“Past governments focused on the welfare of their own party members, family and relatives. TRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao says people are our bosses. That’s the difference between the past governments and the TRS Government,” said Srinivas Yadav.
