Yadadri-Bhongir: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday inspected the renovated main temple of Yadadri Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy with the new lighting system in place.
The Chief Minister, who made a halt at Yadadri on the way back to Hyderabad from Warangal by a chopper, spent more than 30 minutes in the main temple, soaking in the dazzling golden shade that the newly-installed lighting system. He also inspected the lighting system inside the temple and Mada Vedulu besides inspecting the railings made of bronze.
The Chief Minister arrived to Yadadri at 6.10 pm by helicopter and inspected the progress of works of ring road, ‘pushkarini’, ‘nitya annnadanam’ building, bus stand site and ‘Kalyana Katta’.
Later, he went to Balalayam on Yadadri hill shine. The temple priests welcomed Chandrashekhar Rao with ‘purnakunbham’ at the temple. The Chief Minister also participated in a special pooja in Balalayam.
Temple architect Anand Sai explained to the Chief Minister the special care taken in setting up the lighting system to give a golden hue to the blackstone sculptures.
Ministers G Jagadish Reddy and Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, YTDA Vice Chairman Kishan Rao and temple Executive Officer N Geetha were also present.
