CM KCR lays foundation for multi-super specialty hospital in Warangal

The Chief Minister arrived in a helicopter from Hyderabad and landed at Arts and Science College in Hanamkonda. He was welcomed by the Ministers, legislators, elected representatives, and officials.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday laid foundation stone for the much-awaited multi-super specialty hospital proposed to be constructed on the old central prison premises in Warangal. He has also inaugurated the administrative block of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences and the Integrated District Collectorate Complex in the city.

The Chief Minister arrived in a helicopter from Hyderabad and landed at Arts and Science College in Hanamkonda. He was welcomed by the Ministers, legislators, elected representatives, and officials. He paid tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar.


Later, Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the administrative block of the Health University, a five-storey building constructed with Rs 25 crore and unveiled the statue of Kaloji on the university premises. He performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the multi-super specialty hospital in the premises of old central prison of Warangal amid chanting of vedic hymns. The super-specialty hospital will be constructed with 24 floors including a helipad on the last floor for air ambulance.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed Integrated Collectorate Complex of Warangal Urban district. After addressing a gathering of the elected representatives at the conference hall of the Collectorate complex, he will visit the residence of former Minister Kadiam Srihari for lunch. Later, he will leave for Yadadri to inspect the progress of the construction of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple.
