Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday offered special prayers and participated in the Alankar puja to Goddess Ambabai Mahalaxmi at Shree Karveer Niwasini Ambabai Mahalaxmi temple in Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
Along with his family members, the Chief Minister arrived in Kolhapur on a special flight from Hyderabad. He reached the temple which is considered as the seventh of the 18 Shakti Peethams and was given a traditional welcome by the priests at the temple amid chanting of Vedic hymns. After performing Alankar puja and offering prayers, he returned to Hyderabad by evening.
Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, Namaste Telangana managing director D Damodar Rao, TRS general secretary R Shravan Kumar and others were also present.
