Siddipet: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao stated that the country was moving in the wrong direction which would prove detrimental to all and it was time that people of the country take the initative to set things right and end the autocratic rule. Likening communal tensions to cancer, he vowed to fight all his might against it and put the country back on the tracks of development.

Citing the ongoing communal tensions in Bengaluru, Chandrashekhar Rao said due to the efforts of the previous governments, Bengaluru has developed into the Silicon Valley of India. “But people are now scared to visit the city due to the communal tensions created with ulterior political motives. We should not allow Hyderabad to move in that direction and ruin the livelihood opportunities of our children,” he asserted. He stated that Telangana has lowest unemployment rate in the country and it is also the only State to provide uninterrupted power to all sectors.

Addressing a meeting of the elected representatives after dedicating the Mallanna Sagar reservoir to people of the State here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said to ensure that the States progress, there was a need for a progressive and just government at the Centre. He emphasised the need for a peaceful and conducive atmosphere for the IT and industrial development.

“If there are communal tensions and curfews, there would not be any development and thus, no employment opportunities as well. This is not good for the country. We must stop this cancer from spreading further. It is our collective responsibility to fight against this disease. I will use all my strength and fight all my might, to put the country on the right track,” he added. He stated that Telangana developed into a role model for other States to emulate its schemes in their respective states.
