Hyderabad: Former Minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy found fault with the State government for failing to raise the issue of unauthorised projects being taken up by the Andhra Pradesh Government during the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) meeting held recently. “Despite several appeals to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, he had not approached Supreme Court over the unauthorised projects being taken up by Andhra Pradesh government, he said.
“Law does not permit diversion of river waters from one basin to another. Even after seven years of State formation, Andhra leaders domination continues in Telangana,” said Nagam Janardhan Reddy.
If the Chief Minister is committed to the welfare of Telangana, he should initiate measures to stop the Sangmeshwara project at the earliest, he said. The former Minister further alleged that Chief Minister met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union Ministers in New Delhi to discuss issues for personal benefit and not those related to State benefits.
