CM Revanth cautions youth, says fake social media posts will invite action
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, addressing a public meeting in Warangal, warned that adverse posts on social media and participation in protests could cost unemployed youth their eligibility for government jobs.
Warangal: With farmers, unemployed youth and others taking to the streets to press for their demands, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy warned that adverse posts shared on social media would invite severe punishment.
“Many are under the illusion that sharing false facts on social media will benefit them, but it will be futile. You will be beaten black and blue,” Revanth Reddy said at a public meeting in Parakala here on Sunday.
He charged that opposition parties were instigating unemployed youth against the State government. He alleged that the youth were being misled and asked to stage protests. The Chief Minister assured that job notifications would be issued in phases and asked the youth not to fall prey to opposition politics.
“Do not participate in protests. If police book cases, you will be ineligible for the jobs,” he said.
Revanth Reddy further charged that the BRS, which recently conducted a blood donation camp at its office, had sold the donated blood units to private hospitals and made money from them. He asked unemployed youth not to believe the party.
After assuring that the Assembly session would be conducted in the first week of August, the Chief Minister said it would now be held in September. He said the Congress government was prepared to discuss the achievements of the previous BRS government and compare them with those of the current government over the last two and a half years.
The Chief Minister said he was working 18 hours a day to fulfil the promises made to the people. He said the State government was providing Rs. 12,000 per acre under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. In the last 32 months, Rs. 36,000 crore had been provided to farmers, he said.
Similarly, the State government had spent Rs. 30,000 crore on free power supply to farmers, he said.
“As promised, farming has been made lucrative and farmers are happy with the Congress government,” Revanth Reddy said.
