Hyderabad: Admitting the absence of able companions like the late Konijeti Rosaiah, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday highlighted the challenges of addressing issues in the State Legislative Assembly without a troubleshooter of his kind. Paying tributes to the former Chief Minister on his third death anniversary, Revanth Reddy emphasized the significant void left by Rosaiah’s passing.
Revanth Reddy remarked that any Chief Minister’s tenure could be a splendid success with the support of a leader like Rosaiah. He noted past Chief Ministers, including Marri Chenna Reddy, N. Janardhan Reddy, Bhavanam Venkatarami Reddy, and Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, were able to govern the State stably due to Rosaiah’s steadfast commitment to resolving governmental issues.
Hailing Rosaiah’s supportive role in every Congress government, Revanth Reddy pointed out that Rosaiah was always the number two, remaining firm in his position regardless of changes in leadership. Rosaiah never craved the top position, but his deserving nature led Sonia Gandhi to appoint him as Chief Minister at the right time.
Calling Rosaiah a “100 percent true Hyderabadi,” Revanth Reddy announced plans to install and unveil a statue of K. Rosaiah in Hyderabad.
