Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will conduct an aerial survey in the Cyclone Montha-affected Warangal and Nalgonda districts, especially Husnabad Assembly constituency on Friday.

Leaves of all officials have been cancelled and district Collectors have been asked to ensure that every officer undertakes field visits and resolves public grievances. The Revenue and Agriculture departments will take up the enumeration of losses soon after the flood recedes.

The Chief Minister held a video conference with the Ministers, Collectors and senior officials of the cyclone-affected districts on Thursday. With reports of paddy getting soaked at many places and farmers expressing concerns about paddy stocks washed away at some Indira Kranti Patham (IKP) centres, District Collectors have been directed to make arrangements to immediately shift paddy from the IKP centres to the nearest godowns and mills.

They have also been ordered to store paddy in the nearest function halls where mills and godowns are not available. Collectors were also instructed to appoint an in-charge officer for each procurement centre and collect reports from each IKP centre every evening.

The Chief Minister ordered the Chief Secretary and DGP to mobilise the services of police and, if necessary, deploy HYDRAA teams in Warangal. A toll-free help cell should be set up in the Collectorate to monitor the situation round-the-clock. A helpline should also be set up in the Command Control Centre in Hyderabad.
