CM to take decision on benefits for paddy farmers: Eashwar
Eashwar assured that every grain from farmers would be purchased at the MSP through 293 paddy purchasing centres established to procure 4.05 lakh quintals of paddy expected to arrive this season.

Peddapalli: Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar said on Tuesday that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would take a decision on extending benefits to farmers who cultivated fine variety paddy.
The Minister along with local MP B Venkatesh Nethakani conducted a review meeting here with officials to discuss paddy procurement.
Eashwar assured that every grain from farmers would be purchased at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) through 293 paddy purchasing centres established to procure 4.05 lakh quintals of paddy expected to arrive this season.
He instructed officials to provide basic facilities in PPCs and take steps to make payments as early as possible. Instructing officials to appoint an officer for every purchasing center, he wanted to arrange tarpaulins, paddy cleaners and other facilities.
Besides hamalies, adequate vehicles should also be arranged to transport purchased paddy to rice mills.
Telangana state has become a role model to the entire nation by introducing various welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, 24 hours free current and other facilities.
55 percent of the paddy procured by the Food Corporation of India was from Telangana. However, FCI was putting restrictions on procurement of paddy. Farmers were facing hardships due to anti-farmers policies of the central government.
Political leaders were trying to misguide farmers by spreading false propaganda for their political gains, he said and appealed to the farmers to be careful about vicious campaign by political leaders.
