CMC accelerates H-CITI flyover, underpass works in Gachibowli

The CMC has accelerated H-CITI flyover and underpass works at IIIT Junction and Khajaguda after completing earth excavation at Gachibowli Junction. Officials said 40 per cent of civil works was complete, with pillar and beam construction progressing towards 2027 deadlines.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has accelerated flyover and underpass works at IIIT Junction and Khajaguda after completing earth excavation at Gachibowli Junction. Officials said that 40 per cent of the civil works had been completed.

“Earth excavations are virtually wrapped up, and massive concrete pillars are rising rapidly along the central medians,” a senior CMC engineer told ‘Telangana Today’.

On a daily basis, according to official estimates, more than 2 lakh vehicles cross these key arterial intersections. The civic body is working round-the-clock shifts to meet the April and May 2027 completion deadlines set by CMC Commissioner G Srijana, the senior engineer said.

Concrete beams between pillars have been completed near Gachibowli Stadium and they will be lifted and placed on the pillars at night.

Nearly 10 to 15 pillars have been completed on stretches from ISB Road to IFB Road, DLF Road to Gachibowli Road, and ISB Road to Gachibowli via Indira Nagar.

With the monsoon over, CMC has directed the agency concerned to accelerate work and meet the deadlines, added the CMC official.
