Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Standing Committee has approved a Rs 37 crore budget to widen and improve the Nallagandla-ORR radial road, aimed at easing traffic congestion in Nallagandla and providing relief to daily commuters.
The road connects Gopanpally flyover directly to the ORR service road through a narrow stretch near Vattinagulapally. Officials said the stretch is damaged and covered in gravel, causing inconvenience to daily commuters, particularly IT professionals and residents of Nallagandla, Tellapur, Serilingampally and adjoining residential colonies. At present, commuters are forced to take a detour of 6 to 8 km via Vattinagulapally.
Following the administrative sanction, the CMC will float tenders and take up the road-widening works, a senior CMC engineering official told Telangana Today.
“Once road widening is completed, it will bring much-needed relief to thousands of IT professionals and residents who face daily bumper-to-bumper traffic,” said CMC.
