CMC Commissioner inspects waste management systems in Cyberabad

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner, G Srijana, conducted a comprehensive inspection to review waste segregation, timely lifting of municipal solid waste, and the upkeep of the Secondary Collection and Transfer Point (SCTP) to ensure hygienic conditions.
On Thursday, she reviewed segregation practices at source and the efficiency of waste transportation systems, and directed officials to prevent secondary dumping, strengthen field-level monitoring, and improve overall sanitation standards to maintain a clean and healthy environment, a press release said.
The Commissioner issued instructions to strengthen waste segregation by ensuring strict segregation of wet and dry waste at the source, maintaining timely lifting of waste through regular and efficient transportation to avoid accumulation, and ensuring the upkeep of the SCTP by maintaining hygienic conditions and adhering to environmental and safety standards.
