CMC demolishes 15 unauthorised constructions across Cyberabad

CMC teams identified 15 unauthorised constructions and carried out 15 demolitions across Cyberabad on Tuesday. Six teams continued inspections across three zones. Separately, CMC, HYDRAA and HMWS&SB reviewed proposed infrastructure and connectivity works at Sunnam Cheruvu and Timmidi Kunta.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) teams on Tuesday continued field-level inspections and enforcement action across all three zones to identify unauthorised constructions and ensure compliance with building regulations.

As part of today’s enforcement drive, 15 unauthorised constructions were identified, 15 demolitions were carried out, and two notices were served. The zone-wise demolitions carried out today included five in Serilingampally, four in Kukatpally and six in Quthbullapur zone, a press release said.

Six CMC teams were continuing field-level inspections across all zones, with identified violations being taken forward for necessary action as per the prescribed procedure and applicable regulations.

The Commissioner, CMC, has directed the concerned teams to maintain continuous monitoring and ensure timely follow-up on every identified case. Coordinated enforcement action will continue across CMC limits to curb unauthorised construction activity and ensure compliance with building regulations.

Meanwhile, a joint coordination meeting held by the CMC, HYDRAA and HMWS&SB reviewed the proposed works at Sunnam Cheruvu, including the extension of the central median up to the existing culvert, extension of the footpath from Sunnam Cheruvu to the existing culvert, ornamental illumination and street lighting around the lake, and road connectivity from Parvath Nagar to Sunnam Cheruvu. The meeting also reviewed the required works at Timmidi Kunta.
