CMC to conduct sacred waste collection drive at five temples on July 18
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation will conduct a sacred waste collection drive at five major temples on July 18 to promote the scientific collection, recycling and eco-friendly disposal of religious offerings through authorised processing methods and sustainable waste management practices.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) will conduct a sacred waste collection drive on July 18 at five major temples within its limits from 8.30 am to 11 am.
A press release said the drive would be carried out jointly by CMC sanitation teams and volunteers to promote the scientific collection, segregation, recycling and eco-friendly disposal of sacred waste generated at places of worship.
The drive will be conducted at Seetha Ramanjaneya Swamy Temple, Whitefields, Kondapur (Madhapur Circle); Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple, Seven Hills Road, Nizampet (Allwyn Colony Circle); Shivalayam Temple (Kompally Circle); Sai Baba Temple, near Peacock Junction, Pragathi Nagar (Nizampet Circle); and Sri Ramalingeshwara Swamy Temple, near Railway Underpass, Medchal (Medchal Circle).
CMC officials said the sacred waste collected during the drive would be scientifically segregated and processed through authorised recycling and environmentally responsible disposal methods to help reduce pollution and promote the sustainable management of religious offerings.
