Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged in Saturday that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s “benami company” KLSR Infra was harassing a 75-year-old woman and questioned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi if this was the ‘Mohabbat ka Dukaan’ model promised by the Congress party.
His post on X was in the wake of Hyderabad-based Saurabh Agarwal, director of Bengal Cold Rollers complaining in the Supreme Court that he was being harassed in a case related to KLSR Infratech. He is fighting a case in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
Saurabh Agarwal’s lawyer had informed the Supreme Court that Agarwal’s 75-year-old mother was arrested by police and they were under pressure, according to reports. This was after Saurabh Agarwal had alleged a fraud of nearly Rs.150 crore by the suspended management of KLSR, the lawyer said.
“CM Revanth Reddy benami company KLSR Infra is harassing a 75-year-old lady. Arrested her because she could not be silenced. Using police and State agencies and abusing authority,” Rama Rao posted. He further questioned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi asking “Is this the model of your Mohabbat Ka Dukaan?”
On Wednesday, the BRS working president had exposed a massive scam involving contracts worth about Rs.6,000 crore awarded to KLSR Infratech, a company allegedly linked to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and currently under insolvency proceedings.
He had also demanded cancellation of the contracts, blacklisting of the company and a probe into the irregularities by central agencies.
