Cockroaches, expired food found in multiple Absolute Barbeque branches in Hyderabad
Food Safety Task Force inspected ten Absolute Barbeque outlets in Hyderabad and found several violations, including dirty utensils, cockroach and housefly infestations, expired food, and improper storage. The findings were shared by the Commissioner of Food Safety on X.

Hyderabad: Food Safety Task Force and Food Safety Officers, during inspections at ten Absolute Barbeque outlets in the city, found several violations, including dirty utensils, unclean flooring and washing areas, as well as cockroach and housefly infestations in some outlets.
The inspections were carried out at the Absolute Barbeque outlets located in AS Rao Nagar, Kompally, Medipally, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Gachibowli, Inorbit, Miyapur, Vanasthalipuram, and Secunderabad, following a complaint made to the Commissioner, Food Safety.
The inspection teams found expired food at the Medipally outlet, rotten fruits with fungal infestation at the Inorbit outlet, and beetle-infested flour at the AS Rao Nagar outlet. Other lapses included improper maintenance of fridges and dirty chopping boards.
As per information posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the Commissioner of Food Safety, the teams also found food stored on the floors, rusty storage units, and rat feces on racks.
