Collective efforts will protect nature
Students displayed various plant products and illustrated their uses to bring about awareness among the students and the need to protect plants.

Students of Grade-II of Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally presented a virtual skit to highlight the growing menace of deforestation. The aim of conducting the virtual skit titled “The Chipko Movement” was to sensitise students towards the prevailing environmental issues.
Chipko Movement is also called Chipko Andolan, a non-violent social and ecological movement which was started by villagers, particularly women, in India in the 1970s, aimed at protecting trees and forests.
Students displayed various plant products and illustrated their uses to bring about awareness among the students and the need to protect plants. Students vowed to protect trees in their vicinity and were of the view that how collective efforts by the members of society will protect nature and make it a better place to live in.
