Yadadri-Bhongir: Additional District Collector Deepak Tiwari on Saturday said that protection of child rights was everyone’s responsibility in the society.
Speaking at celebrations of International Child Rights Day jointly held by the District Child Protection Unit and Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) at Bhongir, Deepak Tiwari said that the country would achieve development with a healthy society only when protection of child rights were protected. He reminded that the children were future citizens of the country. No child should be kept out of the school. In addition to this, employment of the child under 14 years of age was strictly prohibited in any establishment, he added. The people should inform the authorities concern, if they found any child labor or violation of child rights in their area. He opined that cooperation of the people would also play a crucial role in protection of child rights.
District Welfare Officer K V Krishnaveni, Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Bandaru jayasree, District Child Rights Protection Office P saidulu also attended the programme.
