Nalgonda: District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil on Monday instructed the officials to take measures for survival of saplings planted along with Roads and Buildings as well as Panchayat Raj roads. He inspected the saplings planted at Kondamallepally and Peddavoora as part of avenue plantation.

On the occasion, the District Collector asked the officials to lay special focus on survival of the saplings planted along the roads, which were connecting the villages from towns. Watering for the saplings planted under Telangana Ku Haritha Haram and Palle Pragathi programmes should be taken up during fixed hours in a day without fail, he added. Tree guards should be set up to the saplings at the required places. The officials can utilise the funds of grama panchayat for the purpose, he added.

District Panchayat Officer Vishnu Vardhan accompanied by the District Collector during his inspection.
