Responding to the call given by the Collector, leaders of the Non-Gazetted Officers Association sent 93 blankets and 193 bedsheets while conveying their wishes at a programme held on Saturday.
Nalgonda: The appeal of the district Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil to the political leaders and employees to come with blankets and bedsheets instead of flower bouquets to convey New Year Day wishes to him. The initiative of the district Collector led to collection of more than hundred bedsheets which will be distributed to orphan houses and old age homes. Responding to the call given by the Collector, leaders of the Non-Gazetted Officers Association sent 93 blankets and 193 bedsheets while conveying their wishes at a programme held on Saturday.
Gazetted Officers Association leaders also gave him 60 bedsheets for distribution to the old age homes.
Speaking on the occasion, the district Collector asked the officials and employees of different departments to work with commitment and dedication for comprehensive development of Nalgonda district by ensuring effective implementation of welfare schemes and development projects taken up by the State government. He asked the officials to strive to make Nalgonda district stand in top in the State in setting up of Rythu Vedikas and Palle Prakuthi Vanams. Each employee should purchase at least Rs 1,000 worth handloom clothes to help the weavers in the district. He also underlined the need to ensure involvement of the people to make success schemes taken up by the State government. It would also ensure transparency in implementation of welfare schemes and development projects, he opined.
