Hyderabad: The book ‘Bolden Days of Bouncing Up’, written by B. Maria Kumar, former Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh, was released at the Andhra Christian College in Guntur by the college Principal, Dr K. Moses on Monday.

Maria Kumar, who studied B.Sc. at the college from 1975 to 1978, shared fond memories of his college days in this book. He described lively moments from his youth, including classroom experiences, lab stories, quiet times in the library, stage performances, sports, and friendships that shaped campus life.


His writing focused on the spirit of the mid-1970s with warmth and detail.

The event was emotional, with many of Maria Kumar’s classmates and friends, including P. J. Livingston, M. Kamala Raju, Mahipal, Haribabu Jagannatham, G. Lakshmi Narayana, and Ravi Chandra, joining to celebrate the occasion.

The book was released as part of the 140th anniversary celebrations of Andhra Christian College, founded in 1885.

Dr K. Moses praised the author’s engaging storytelling and thoughtful reflections. He said the book inspires current and future students to strive for excellence through curiosity, kindness, and dedication.
