Medak: A youngster, Chaitanya, from Bengaluru, allegedly attacked a girl, Divya Krupa, at a government degree college in Medak after she reportedly rejected his proposal. She sustained serious injuries on her hand.

Divya Krupa had gone to the college to appear for an open university examination on Monday morning. She reportedly was in touch with the youngster on social media.

In her statement, Divya Krupa said Chaitanya came to her and asked her to accept his love. When she refused, he attacked her with a knife and fled the scene. However, the girl protected herself with her hand. Eyewitnesses said she would otherwise have sustained serious injuries on her body.

The police registered a case and efforts are on to nab Chaitanya. The incident created panic as it happened when a huge number of students were waiting at the examination centre.
