College student killed, another seriously injured in Secunderabad road accident
A college student was killed and another seriously injured after their motorcycle crashed into a transformer pole in Tirumalagiri, Secunderabad. Police said the rider lost control while allegedly attempting to overtake another two-wheeler. A case has been registered

Hyderabad: An intermediate student was killed while travelling as a pillion rider after he requested a ride from a motorcyclist to reach his college in Tirumalagiri on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Tejas, an intermediate student of a college in Bolarum.
According to the police, Tejas had come to the roadside near Dairy Farm to go to his college and requested a ride from a passing motorcyclist.
While proceeding from Dairy Farm towards Lal Bazaar, the motorcycle rider allegedly attempted to avoid a scooter moving ahead. “In the process, he lost control of the vehicle and rammed into an electricity utility pole on the roadside.
Due to the impact, Tejas was thrown off the motorcycle and suffered severe head injuries. He died on the spot. The motorcycle rider also sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital by local residents, ”said the police.
The police reached the spot and shifted Tejas’s body to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
