Hyderabad: Taking a jibe at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his comments on BJP buying MLAs ‘like goats” in Maharashtra, BRS working president KT Rama Rao invited Kharge to Telangana to witness how well the “goat industry” was performing here due to its lead purchaser – the Congress.
He reminded that 10 BRS MLAs were inducted into the Congress party already.
“They were bought, threatened, may be a few were cajoled. None of them resigned. The situation is so pathetic none of the 10 MLAs know which party they belong to,” he said.
Calling it classic hypocrisy of the Congress, Rama Rao dared Kharge to make the defected MLAs stand in a press conference and make clear which party they belonged to. He said all of them were scared of the court and of losing their posts to admit it.
He also held the Congress responsible for pioneering the culture of political horse-trading.
