Hyderabad: In the wake of industrialist Gautam Adani‘s indictment in the US, BRS working president KT Rama Rao demanded the Congress to come out clean on its alleged nexus with him.

He called Adani a “fraudster who deceived global powers and bribed Indian officials” and asked the association of Congress and BJP with him, terming it a disgrace to the nation.

In a statement, Rama Rao targeted the Congress government in Telangana, demanding the immediate cancellation of permits granted to the Adani-Ambuja cement factory in Ramannapet.

He said serious questions are being raised about Adani’s stake in the Musi River rejuvenation project and the cement factory. He wanted the Congress to clarify its shady dealings with Adani.

“Come out clean on the shares of your Bade Bhai (Prime Minister Modi), your Adani Bhai, your Congress high command in your machinations to loot Telangana’s assets,” he asked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

The BRS working president criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating that it was high time that he and the Telangana Chief Minister came clean. He said Rahul Gandhi may hold a million press conferences and say whatever he may please.

“But can you tell me that the Rs 100 crore ‘gifted’ by Adani to Revanth Reddy is not a bribe? Can you openly tell what all was promised to Adani by your government in Telangana?” he asked.
