Commemorative volume released honouring historian Prof Sheikh Ali
A commemorative volume, New Facets of Indian Historiography and Historical Methods, dedicated to historian Prof Sheikh Ali, was released at Malabar Christian College. The event highlighted his contributions to South Indian history, with key addresses by renowned scholars.

Hyderabad: Prof K K Geetha Kumari, Vice-Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, observed that Prof Sheikh Ali was a distinguished historian of national stature who made remarkable contributions to the study of South Indian history.
She made these remarks while inaugurating the release of a book titled New Facets of Indian Historiography and Historical Methods (commemorative volume dedicated to Prof Sheikh Ali), who was a founder Vice Chancellor of Goa University and Mangalore University edited by Prof P Chenna Reddy at Malabar Christian College organised by the Department of History under the support of Indian Cultural and Heritage Centre, Cochin.
The function was presided over by Dr K K N Kurup, the former Vice-Chancellor of University of Calicut. Prof Gopalankutty received the first copy of the publication.
The keynote address was delivered by the editor Prof P Chenna Reddy, Former Director of Erstwhile A P State Archaeology and Museums. Dr Husain Randathani, Dr Swarna Kumari, Dr Godwin Samraj, Dr M T Narayanan, Sri Jayaprakash Raghavayya and Dr Shinoy Jesinth also addressed the gathering.
