Hyderabad: BC Welfare Minister G Kamalakar on Monday directed the BC welfare department officials to commence the construction of BC Atma Gaurava Bhavans and entrust the maintenance of the structures to the associations, which have formed into a single umbrella community.
Regarding issues pertaining to other associations, the Minister instructed the officials to convene a meeting on November 8 to finalise the formalities.
The State Government has already allotted 82.30 acres of land for 40 BC caste in Uppal Bhagat, Kokapet, Batasingaram areas, besides allocating Rs 100 crore for construction of Atma Gaurava Bhavans.
The Minister, who reviewed the progress of these projects, said all measures were being taken up to expedite the construction works. To this effect, plans have also been made to complete the works as per schedule, officials explained to the Minister.
In addition to these works, G Kamalakar also reviewed the implementation of covid guidelines in all the BC Gurukuls across the State.
The Minister specifically directed the officials focus on the sanitation in hostels, classrooms, dining halls and made elaborate arrangements for strict adherence of covid guidelines by students and staff.
