Hyderabad: For the first time, six conventional universities in the State will have a common academic calendar for the postgraduate courses starting this academic year 2021-22.
As per the academic calendar, the class work for semester I and III is all set to commence from December 27, while the cut-off date for re-admission is January 27, 2022. There will be a short vacation for Sankranthi festival from January 13 to 16 and classes will resume on January 17.
The first internal assessment will be held on February 25 and 26 and the second internal assessment is scheduled to be conducted on April 22 and 23. The last date for instructions is May 2 and students will have preparatory holidays for practical exams from May 3 to 9, while the semester I and III exams will commence from May 10.
The classwork for semester II and IV will commence from May 26.
This academic calendar was decided by the Vice Chancellors of six conventional universities – Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Satavahana University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University and Palamuru University during the VCs conference held recently. The calendar will be applicable to MA, MSc, MCom, MSW, MCJ, BLiSC and MPEd courses. So far, the UG courses had a common academic calendar across these universities.
Meanwhile, candidates seeking admissions into various postgraduate courses in six conventional universities through the Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET) 2021 second phase counselling can exercise web options from December 24 to 26 and options can be edited on December 27.
The provisional seats allotment is on December 30 and candidates have to report to allotted colleges between December 31 and January 5, 2022. For more details, visit the website https://cpget.ouadmissions.com/.
